SYKE is delighted to announce the appointments of John Buxton as business development director and Dom Burch as marketing director. They both start with immediate effect.
Buxton a former Asda vice president, and Burch a former senior director of marketing innovation, also previously employed by Asda, join SYKE at a period of dramatic growth.
Both Buxton and Burch worked alongside SYKE’s founder and CEO Alistair Maiden at the Walmart UK retailer before Maiden left to set up SYKE in 2016.
John Buxton said: “Alistair has done an amazing job growing SYKE from a standing start three years ago to a 50+ strong team of highly talented legal engineers, with a set of global clients that most law firms would die for. Our role in this next phase of growth is to accelerate the business and help SYKE realise its full potential.
Burch added: “We are joining a successful and rapidly growing company. SYKE is already one of the foremost legal tech companies in the world, and I’m looking forward to helping tell its story.
“Legal tech is going to continue to disrupt this $200bn sector for many years to come, and SYKE is perfectly placed to benefit from that change, while enabling its clients to revolutionise how they use technology to save time and money.”
Alistair Maiden commented: “I’m delighted John and Dom have joined the team at SYKE. Our collective mission is to transform the global legal industry by embedding the latest innovative technology, be that document automation or more sophisticated AI to dynamically create new contracts.
“By removing unnecessary tasks and reducing bureaucracy, we are able to save companies money and free lawyers up to do what they do best – practice law.”
Last month SYKE announced Ben Murphy had joined as a senior legal engineer from Sky Bet, and in September Adam Dessurne was appointed as head of enterprise CLM practice. Adam was previously head of CLM at 4C where he grew a team specialising in contract lifecycle management.
